Durante la investigación, el protagonista se enfrenta a Ismael Mateus, un influyente terrateniente y líder secreto de las autodefensas de la zona, y quien está interesado en desviar la investigación del crimen.&nbsp;</p> <p>Aunque se rehúsa a colaborar, Ismael descubre su secreto y lo obliga a escamotear la investigación.
